Modern Plant Stand Plan Free Project Plan

While visiting a stylish craft shop along the seacoast of New Hampshire,
I saw a fine display counter that I thought would make a great plant
stand. Here is my version of that display counter.
Note: It is made of 3/4-inch by 3/4-inch pieces.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut all pieces to size. (Here is a chance to use up a lot
of scrap wood.)
Step 2
Make up eleven simple shelf assemblies using parts number 4 and 5.
Be sure all eleven shelf assemblies are square and exactly the same
size. Glue and nail together.
Step 3
Locate and cut the 3/4-inch-wide by 'A-inch-deep dadoes in parts number
1, 2 and 3. Use a jig or saw stop so that all 8 inch dimensions are
exactly the same.
Step 4
Drill a pilot hole in the center of each dado. Dado out a slot for
the screws, parts number 6.
Step 5
Now comes the
fun part; putting it all together. (I would
suggest you go out and get three or four friends to help.) Working
from left to right, assemble the plant stand following the drawing
of the exploded view on the second page that follows. Glue and screw
all joints; check as you proceed so that everything is square. (Continued
below.)
Step 6
Paint or stain to suit. If you have a paint sprayer, here is where
it will come in handy.
