
Build an old airplane in rememberance of the small bi-planes that
once used to fly the skys.
Instructions
Step 1
Glue up material to cut the body from. You should have
a block of wood 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches that is 8 5/16 inches
long.
Step 2
Using
a band saw, cut out the airplane body, part number 1. Locate
and drill all holes as noted. Round the edges as shown in the front
view,
section A-A, section B-B, and section C-C.
Step 3
Cut the two wings, parts number 2, to size as shown. Note
that
the top wing has a 1 3/4-inch radius cut out of it. Locate and drill
the five 1/4-
inch-diaineter holes.
Step 4
Make the remaining pieces according to the detail drawings.
Note: A lathe is needed to make the cowl, part number 6.
Sand all over.
Step 5
Assemble all of the pieces following the drawing of the
exploded view.
Step 6
Lightly sand, and paint to suit.
